Jordyn Greenhaw, Northwest Missouri State University’s event coordinator, recently was recognized by the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association (MPRA) with its Outstanding New Professional Award.
Greenhaw received the award Feb. 28 during the annual MPRA Conference and Expo in Branson, Missouri.
The award is presented annually to an MPRA member who has demonstrated service above and beyond normal position requirements; outstanding leadership skills; development of innovative ideas, policy, programs or facilities; and contributed to significant advancements in the field through research and continuing education.
In January, Greenhaw began her employment at Northwest after two years as event and marketing manager with Maryville Parks and Recreation. Previously, she was executive director of the Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce and the recreation coordinator and aquatics supervisor for the city of Bonner Springs, Kansas.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Northwest in park and recreation management.
